DNPM

German Network for Personalised Medicine

The aim of the project is to set up centers for personalized medicine throughout Germany and to pool expertise in a German Network for Personalized Medicine (DNPM). In particular, the project partners will develop joint standards and establish so-called „molecular tumor boards“ in order to provide patients with the best possible individual treatment at the end of guideline-based therapy. A joint database will be used for quality assurance and provide new findings for the further development of personalized medicine. The accompanying evaluation will examine in particular whether patients benefit directly from the new standards and structures and what challenges are associated with the establishment of such centers. The Certification Commission of the German Cancer Society for Centers for Personalized Medicine has developed requirements on the basis of which 12 centers have already been certified (as of 2/2024; www.oncomap.de).
